  2. The Reserve Bank is expected to keep interest rates on hold when it meets on Tuesday, after it turned out inflation has been higher than expected.

  3. Auction clearance rates have remained strong as we get closer to spring, which is prime selling season for Sydney real estate.  Expect prices of existing homes to keep rising over the next few months.  

  4. Owners of apartments in Opal Towers are suing the NSW government for building defects, at the same time as owners of apartments at Mascot Tower have found out they’ll need to pay more than $75,000 each to fix their building.

  5. Economists are tipping wage growth is going to remain low for the next couple of years – which is a sign that making your money go further is going to be even more important for the immediate future
