Step-by-step knockdown rebuild process
Stage 1: Selecting your home
We work with you to find the right home design to suit your needs. You're home buyers with a difference. With an existing dwelling, there's no need to consider a land package, so we'll spend time with you to find the right knockdown rebuild home solution.
This extra time means the quote will be the one best suited for your new home needs. This is the time to consider whether you want a single or double storey, a granny flat or other elements of your ideal home. From here, we undertake a comprehensive assessment of your existing house block so we can provide you with an accurate all-inclusive Tender Price.
We offer flexibility of choice and personalised service like never before.
Stage 2: Drawings and contract
When you've chosen your exterior selections with our Rawson colour specialists, we'll draw up your detailed plans of your knockdown rebuild, including your design and the façade of your new home.
We'll help you work through all the necessary paperwork, while preparing our own and providing you with your contract. Once signed, you pay the agreed deposit and we'll be on our way to knocking down and rebuilding your new custom home!
Stage 3: Selections and approvals
During stage 3 we submit all the required paperwork for your custom build on your existing home site to your local council for approval.
This is also when you'll meet with one of our colour consultants to decide on the colour selections, interior design features and finishes for your dream home and put your personal stamp on the final design.
Stage 4: Construction
This stage is the official start of rebuilding your home: we'll commence construction so your knockdown rebuild process is underway! Your slab will go down and your brand new home will begin to take shape.
A site manager will keep you informed throughout the whole process, answering any questions you may have along the way.
Stage 5: Handover
The moment you've been waiting for during the entire process! Once completed, we will organise a handover at your new home, where we conduct a walk-through inspection with you and then handover the keys. After three months, our Warranty Manager will also come back to make sure everything is as it should be.
